About This Circuit

The Berber (Amazigh) people are Morocco's original inhabitants — and their heartland stretches across the High Atlas, Anti-Atlas, and Rif mountains in villages that have changed little in a thousand years. This circuit goes where the tour buses don't: Tuesday markets in remote mountain valleys, Amazigh museum villages, Anti-Atlas rock engravings, rose and saffron cooperatives, and the extraordinary painted rocks of Tafraoute. Real Morocco, real people.
