Sacred Morocco

About This Circuit

Morocco is one of the last countries where Sufism lives in the streets, not textbooks. This circuit follows the spiritual geography of the kingdom: the most sacred zawiya of Moulay Idriss II, the trance ceremonies of the Gnawa in Essaouira, the Qadiriyya brotherhood in Fes, the ancient pilgrimage routes of the Draa Valley, and the meditative silence of the pre-Saharan kasbah towns. A journey inward as much as outward.
